We offer a full range of consulting
services, although our main emphasis is on process invention, process
development, process
improvement, process troubleshooting and process comparison and
evaluation for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals,
agrochemicals and specialty chemicals.
In
our experience every company has a few short term projects that never
get started due to a lack of time, expertise or equipment. We can look
after these projects for you, delivering
the results on time and on budget and working independently or as a team with
your staff .
We also help biopharmaceutical firms
without in-house process development experience assess their scale-up
needs and then locate suitable Contract Research Organizations (CROs)
and/or Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). If you
already have contacts with these
types of organizations we can
provide an independent evaluation of their proposed timetables for
project completion and price quotes. For more established firms, we can
assist with evaluation and implementation of new technologies and in
locating new suppliers of raw materials.
Within the Information Science field
I have formal training and extensive experience in the use of the
leading online sources of technical information (STN, SciFinder,
Thomson Derwent, Beilstein, Medline, worldwide patent databases) and we
use these skills to carry out literature searches and prepare
technology evaluation packages, critical analyses of the literature or
competitive intelligence reports. We can also provide translation
services for technical literature in any major language.
For all projects we provide a no
obligation free initial consultation to establish project parameters,
followed by a formal preliminary proposal and written and/or oral
interim and final reports on the agreed deadlines for deliverables.
Fees
Our fee structure follows standard
industry practices. Depending on the client's requirements and the
nature of the project, we can bill on a retainer, daily or completed
project
basis. Our hourly rates are highly competitive and again, well within
current industry norms.
Additional reimbursable expenses such
as honoraria for additional manpower, travel (project and/or client
contact related), communications (telephone, fax, courier),
photocopying and information acquisition (online searches, copies of
patents and literature, etc) are normally
accounted for and billed separately at cost.
